As we officially launch our Wanderlust collection we thought you may appreciate the behind the scenes scoop from our day shooting on location! As the title suggests there really was blood, sweat and tears as Merryn had a nasty incident with a giant cactus thorn going through her hand; our photographer suffered heat stroke and an allergic reaction to something which made her face swell up. As if this wasn’t enough drama the whole mexsii crew spent the day fighting off ginormous bull ants on the ground and killer bees in the air!
The take home lesson – cacti can go through your shoes; and just like those tiny polystyrene balls that commonly fill the inside of bean bags, you will continue to find cactus spikes everywhere for the next couple of weeks. Ouch!
